Strangers & Friends
Ongoing project.
An ongoing portrait series about projection, individuality and human presences. The work brings together people from different circles of the artist’s life — friends, acquaintances and strangers met in everyday life — and explores the fragile space between familiarity and distance.
Photographed primarily on large-format analog film, the series embraces a slow and deliberate process in which time, attention and the moment itself become part of the image. Each portrait is less a description of a person than a reflection of the emotional resonance that emerges in the act of being seen.
People of Folsom
Ongoing project since 2019
People of Folsom is a portrait series created within the unique community at the Folsom week in Berlin. The work explores identity, body, self-staging and belonging within queer subcultures, focusing on the tension between vulnerability, strength and performative presence. Rather than documenting an event, the series seeks to create psychologically charged portraits that move beyond stereotype and surface.
